OSSU এর উত্থান

বন্ধুরা, আজকে OSSU নিয়ে কিছু কথা বলবো।


এখনকার দিনে প্রচলিত ধারার লেখাপড়ার বাইরে গিয়ে নিজ তাগিদে বিভিন্ন skills শেখার সবচেয়ে সুন্দর platform বলা যায় OSSU। এখানে আছে,


- সাজানো curriculum

- বিশ্বখ্যাত প্রতিষ্ঠানের materials

- Free of cost এবং Open Source 

- আন্তর্জাতিক মানের community

- Practical skill-based portfolio বানানোর সুযোগ

এখানে গেলেই প্রথমে নজরে পড়বে অনেক ধরনের course details, যেগুলো আমাদের পরিচিত ভার্সিটির course outline এর সাথে মিলে যায়। এই course গুলো করার জন্য আছে Harvard, MIT, Stanford এর মতো বিশ্বখ্যাত প্রতিষ্ঠানের materials এবং lecture।


এই গেল পরিচয়। এখন বলি এটার ব্যাপারে বলার কারণ কি,


ভার্সিটির পড়া যথেষ্ট না। এটা পাকা কথা।


দিনশেষে একটা চাকরির খোঁজে চারবছরের কষ্ট শেষে যদি দেখানোর মতো কোনো skills না থাকে, সেটা আসলে দুঃখজনক। OSSU এর ব্যাপারটা self-paced আর অনেকটা complementary course এর মতো। মানে আপনার যখন ইচ্ছা করবেন, আর সাথে থাকলে উপকার পাবেন। ভার্সিটি থেকে theory শিখার এবং lab করার পর এখানকার project-based task দিয়ে গেলে আশা করা যায় ভার্সিটির result আর ভবিষ্যতের চাকরি দুটোর‌ই একটা বন্দোবস্ত করা যাবে। পাশাপাশি বিশ্বমানের পড়ালেখার একটা ছোটখাটো feel পাবেন, আর community তে থেকে career এর ব্যাপারে holistic একটা reality check খাবেন। 


সবশেষ, OSSU এই free course টায় enrolled হয়ে ভার্সিটির original course কে নতুনভাবে দেখার একটা সুযোগ করে নিন।

I created a website??

In a world where people want immediate results, we procrastinate a lot. And anything that feels time-consuming to do, loses our interest before anything else. I am a guy with multiple interests in life. But one thing I decided after combining all of them, was becoming a Game Developer in the future. Then why or even how I ended up creating a damn website? "Programming শেখার জন্য কোন course করবো?"

 এই প্রশ্নের জবাবে সচরাচর যে কথা নির্দ্বিধায় বলবো তা হলো,  "কোনোটাই না।"  কারণ এটা এমন একটা skill যেটা নিজের ইচ্ছা আর প্রতিদিনের চেষ্টা না থাকলে কেউই আপনাকে শিখাতে পারবে না।  তবে, বাঙালি হিসেবে, নিজের ইচ্ছা থাকা সত্ত্বেও আন্তরিকতার একটা চরম অভাব থাকা তো প্রতিদিনের নজির। এমতাবস্থায় কেউ গেলায় না দিলে হয়তো বা কোনোদিন ভাতটা হজম হবে না। সেদিক থেকে আবার কোনো course এর সাথে না থাকলেই নয়। সেজন্যে আজকে এমন একজন ভদ্রলোকের ব্যাপারে বলবো যাকে ব্যক্তিগতভাবে আমি বাঙালি programmer দের ভিতর সবচেয়ে বেশি সম্মান করি। উনি হলেন Shahjalal Shohag [ 1 ]  CodeForces এর আমার দেখা প্রথম বাঙালি Grandmaster (not the first) [ 2 ] আমি programming sector এ খুব বেশি active না, at least not recently. তবে এই sector এ উনার অবদানের result প্রতিদিন‌ই খেয়াল করি যখন তার Discord Server [ 3 ] এ একেকটা "help post" আসে।  মাঝেমধ্যেই গিয়ে দেখি যে কেউ কেউ কোনো একটা Problem Solve করতে গিয়ে আটকে গেছে; হয় কোনো গুরুতর corner case, না হয় একটামাত্র ";" দেয় নাই। আর কিছুক্ষণের ভিতর‌ই সেটার সমাধান প...
